In Pac Nam District, Bac Kan Province located at the northern
mountainous region, AMDA-MINDS promotes primary health
care aiming at improvement of health conditions especially
for mothers and children of ethnic minorities.
The project area, located at 300 Km north of Hanoi, is
a newly demarcated administrative zone and thus faces
various difficulties in securing sufficient human and
financial resources on top of inadequate social infrastructure.
Main components of the project are, among others, supply
of medical tools and equipment to primary and secondary
public facilities, training and technical workshop for
medical staff and volunteers, construction of sanitation
facilities, promotion of health and nutrition-related
behavior changes.
In addition, his program supports Pac Nam District Hospital
in terms of capacity building of the medical staff as
well as provision of medical tools and equipment. |
